I purchased though the AMEX presale a few weeks ago, so I'm not purchasing more. I'm just looking out of curiosity. I hope it winds up working for you.

Had to use a buddies AMEX card to purchase. None of my visa's worked.

My guess is that there will be plenty of cheap tickets available well before the game.
Small sample size, but the euros I have spoken to on the subject, they don’t really spend a lot in the secondary market for sporting events.
I’d wait until I was going to buy airfare and make a go no go decision then.
