They were running stunts frequently. I’m pretty sure the announcers mentioned several times that they were trying to exploit the middle/weakness of the oline. Just because a guy is a DE doesn’t mean he’s rushing against a tackle every play.

Come on dude, that was interior pressure.

COME ON MAN

when your OT is chasing a DE thats not interior pressure

we just know Ram is good, and we didn't draft an OT so we don't have to make an excuse for it.

Was RG why we didn’t win a super bowl last year? We don’t have a pick till the 3rd and we didn’t improve at WR, or LB.

Putting in a bag of whipped cream when Peat and Worford went down didn't do Brees or the RB's any favors at all in the last quarter of the season, especially in that wild card game when Brees was getting KILLED.

Hunter and Griffen chewed us up

When they lined up over the guards consistently? Yes. You just proved my point that you didn’t watch.

The vikings did blow up our A gap in the playoffs. We couldn't run the ball up the middle consistently so I get it. Unfortunately we still need a LB and a CB, and a power back, and a slot receiver.

Exactly. They lined up Griffen and Hunter over our guards and when they didn’t, they stunted them inside and whipped their DTs outside.

When the opposing team is moving their DEs inside to get a matchup against our guards, yes, our guards should block them. They literally kept calling this out on the broadcast. They couldn't stop pointing it out. Did you watch the game?

The sack on 3rd and goal, they tackles got beat (both)

The sack fumble? Ram gets beat on an inside move by Hunter Not a stund. Not lined up inside. A fricking inside move.

HUnter is a beast and will problale beat everyone.

BUt again we didn't draft a tackle and Ram is an all pro so lets blame our guard I guess.

CBS guy gives Saints an A. Then CBS comes back and has Saints as a "loser" in the draft for the pick. Which one CBS?

The coaches did blame Warford. He played like shite. But yes cherry pick two plays and blame Ram and Armstead instead

Duncan: And let’s not forget all the problems the Vikings’ defensive line gave the Saints’ interior offensive line in the wild-card playoff loss in January. They moved their ends, Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffin inside, and it wreaked havoc with the Saints offense for about 2 1/2 quarters. Don’t think that wasn’t fresh in the minds of the Saints’ brain trust.

But it was all on Ram and Armstead?

Another A grade.
quote:

24. New Orleans Saints: Cesar Ruiz, IOL, Michigan
The Saints selected Erik McCoy in the second round of the 2019 draft, and McCoy was able to be a star right away. Adding Ruiz, who played all 919 snaps at center for the Wolverines last season, gives even more of a push to New Orleans' interior offensive line. Ruiz has played guard, and he's athletic enough to move up to the second level very well, which the Saints have always preferred in their right guards. Grade: A

Those were half the sacks cost us a TD and a Turnover

PRETTY BIG PLAYS.

But it’s not uncommon that most everyone saw the interior OL get fricked that game

I wanted a LB too but if Drew gets hurt again we’re fricked

Go rewatch the Vikings game.

It's so funny to see how mad people get when O Linemen are drafted, yet they lose their minds watching bad OL play during games.

People hate drafting offensive linemen

But they hate watching a shitty OL. Good OL and DL cost draft capital. Cowboys spend significant draft capital to get Tyron Smith, Martin and Fredrickson. We’ve now spent three first rounders on our OL.

We can find a good LB tomorrow or we could grab a nice WR. I have a feeling they watch how the first 10 picks shake out and if a bunch of WRs go then they trade up for a LB but if the LBs go then I can see them trading up for a WR. Maybe even a RB
