I’d hire him. He can coach. Proven winner

This is the best the Saints could possibly hope for. Has had tremendous success with two different organizations leading them to multiple double digital win totals. Probably won't get that here but could foreseeably win the South while we get out of cap hell. I love it

Honestly; I have said in this board Mccarthy was the only person id melt at.
After thinking about it, i wouldnt melt. The only thing that matters to this team over the next 2 years is drafting well. The next coach is most likely a fall guy anyway while we reset. We have almost 0 young talent and no stars, and we can't spend.
Someone who has proven to be a head coach capable of getting wins and can put some structure in place wouldnt be bad in this situation. You swing at an upside unknown and miss, and you can't bring along young players or you shatter their confidence; we could be going into the dark ages.

"Hey, 'member when Aaron Brooks was the Quarterback?..... Wasn't that a fun time???.......would you like Spencer Rattler to be Aaron Brooks 2.0????"
Luckily Mickey Loomis fondly remembers that time before Katrina, which omg I just remembered is 20 frickING YEARS AGO, that Mike McCarthy was the OC for the Saints.
