After this many picks there had to be someone who was roughly BPA who also fit one of the biggest needs on the team. It's legitimately annoying now. They can trade up for a rb, but they can't find a single edge they like in the whole draft.

Still a ways out but I'll guess Dede Westbrook or Jake Butt for next pick

I don't know if you remember 2014, but we gave up by FAR the most yards to backs and gave up consistent 5 yard routes to receivers because we played off because our corners sucked. The pass rush had no time to get home.

This year, again due to injuries, it was almost a repeat. Tons of yards to backs and tons of quick passes because of our corners. Pass rush had no time to get home.

Yes we do need a blue chip guy, but let's not act like we were better off in the secondary in anyway. Our guys up front had no chance.

Won't matter anyway if his defense sucks again this year because he'll be shown the door. Not like we have a good DC to utilize ability/talent. Payton probably kept Allen around so he can use someone as a scapegoat to save his job 1 more year.

I see no way you could complain about the Lattimore pick, dunno if you hated that one or not

i don't hate, but i almost wish that he didn't fall to us...

sound stupid, but i realize that our pass rush is what our team has lacked for a while now.... that it's the reason we are always 7-9... that it's the reason Drew sounded like he wanted the frick out after the season... that it's the reason we are probably gonna do much the same as last season, tbh...

but no, i don't "hate" the Lattimore pick, though i feel that CB was a lesser need than DE/OLB.... i actually like a lot of the guys we already have, like Williams and Crawley.... and Sterling Moore did pretty well too... so, IMO, were in better shape there, pre-draft, than DE/OLB, so it wasn't as big a need.... but you don't pass on Lattimore, even with his injury history.... he's instant CB #1, IMO

Take Kendall Beckworth, he's worth the risk.

I think it will be QB, WR, TE, or Lawson. Lots of good guys on offense still.

I would have loved Beckwith at 103, but I doubt we draft 2 injured LB's.

I wondered about this earlier. Beckwith (also hurt ) seemed like he was a very effective pass rusher when LSU lined him up there. But since he mostly played MLB (which was a bigger need at LSU), he didn't do it that much.

I thought he killed Mahomes in the Texas Bowl.

These picks are slowly escalating my fury so 103 will be Josh Dobbs to make my head explode.

Wouldn't Beckwith and Anzalone both have been mid-2nd rd guys if healthy?

Better than what they did pick, but we need an OLB or DE

That's backwards IMO. No pass rush + press coverage = big chunks of yardage. We had no rush or decent coverage though, so maybe we're both right.

Lattimore, Ramczyk, Williams and Kamara were really good picks. I can't make myself like the Anzalone pick though. Seems like a better Mauti with more injury risk. And I'm not sure why we are completely disregarding major medical issues like shoulders on a linebacker. Especially when we need a pass rusher and some were on the board.

We played mostly off, not press, and keep Byrd 50 yards back.

We literally gave up EVERYTHING underneath last year, leaving no time for the rush to get home.

Like I said we still need a blue chipper, but we at least have competent rushers if our guys can cover for more than 2 missi.
