Haynesworth would be super cheap for the Saints. I think the Skins really want J. Brown and a pick. If Brown were there to play LT they could have Trent Williams play RT and finally have some sort of o-line for McNabb.

Don't forget about Vilma right behind them. That would be a MLB's dream.

It was said that they would rather Williams at RT if at all possible (which is how I've felt since seeing him play). Getting Brown would definitely give them that possibility

3 Years, $16 million, $9 million of which is guaranteed and THAT'S IT. Washington just paid him a $21 million bonus, which is why teams weren't interested beforehand. VERY manageable

If this is accurate (which I'm not doubting you G-Agg), then the Saints must make this happen. That is super cheap for a DT of his caliber.

A high second may not be enough, but if we threw in a fourth (or even Devery ) then I am sure it could get done. Major major improvement on our D

The same guy that broke this story has also said that the Vikings have had nothing going on for Haynesworth. It looks as if he is ours for the taking

I'm trying not to get my hopes up only to have them crushed, but damn if I can't help myself here. This is a huge coup if this happens! The league would ban us for the year out of a substantiated fear that we will destroy all!!!

IMHO, if they trade Brown for him, they shouldn't have to give up much of a pick, if one at all.

JB is an all pro OT which is a more valuable position than NT. And while JB is coming off an injury year, he does not have nearly the baggage that comes with Haynesworth.

this won't happen. Wash wants draft picks, not players. Plus, they just drafted a LT with their top pick. Hopefully Brown will be used in a different trade (Dallas?) to secure us another 2nd.

Well Arizona is interested in Washington, so we would have to beat them out to get to him
