Rest... rest...rest. After 12 weeks of grueling football the Saints simply need to rest to become refreshed for the playoffs.

I agree 100%. If you play the starters and get someone hurt, what do we gain by it. If that someone is # 9---forget about it.

I dont believe in resting out of fear. And I believe there is a good chance to losing an edge by resting. In fact, I think due to the past two weeks, this teams desperately needs to regain that edge. Indy has tried this approach and has failed each time. Rest the knicked up/ turf toe guys, but keep everyone else.

They will have a week off before playing their first playoff game. If you give starters this Sunday off it will mean two weeks without game action. Coupled with the results of our last two games I would not want to go into a playoff game on a potential three game losing streak and players who have not seen the field in two weeks.

I would play the starters Sunday and I would play to win.

because 3 weeks away from your job, especially after doing your job horribly for the 2 weeks prior, is the blueprint for a victorious playoff run?

don't think so

I completely disagree. The Saints have a bye week to rest. The Saints need to use the Carolina game as an opportunity to get some momentum back.

Rest maybe for certain players but certain players need to get on the field as well.

SJS.

You have to believe SP is not going on a three week bye having watched his offense stink it up. I think The offense goes full out, hopes to play well for a few series and then gets off the field regardless of score. If they pull Def. starters it will get ugly quick and I don't think they will risk that either. But I am sure there will be lots of beer and no damn turkey

I would think the gameplan would be to start everyone and hopefully build a lead like they did against Tampa and then start pulling people. Show the NFL were still here and then def. pull Brees as well as some other big names who have been hurting. But first get the big lead. I think Greer stays in to get back in rhythm but some other banged up D guys start to sit. I still say start everyone and throw a bunch of points on the board to build momentum going into the playoffs. I said it in another post, it is a tall order to accomplish but if they did the fire on the team, fans and media would be back with the Saints and the ride through the playoffs would be wild in New Orleans.
