Austin Johnson will get the start at fullback for the Saints with Jed Collins missing the game. Jay Richardson will start at outside linebacker instead of Junior Galette and David Hawthorne will start in place of the injured Jonathan Vilma. The other Saints players not dressed for the game are linebackers Martez Wilson and Chris Chamberlain.

The Texans will be playing without three starters on offense. Ben Tate gets the start at running back over Arian Foster, who just returned to practice this week. Ben Jones will start at left guard for Wade Smith and Lestar Jean will start at wide receiver for DeAndre Hopkins. Other Texans players not dressed for Sunday's game: receivers DeVier Posey and Alan Bonner, safety Eddie Pleasant, linebacker Whitney Mercilus, defensive tackle David Hunter and suspended defensive end Antonio Smith.

Excited about so many guys outta nowhere having a shot at the 53. The heat is on for making the team. Fresh blood can be good. Reminds me of Stallworth & Dwight Smith sent packing.

These 9 look to have a legit shot-

Jay Richardson
Khiry Robinson
Glenn Foster
Tim Lelito
Eric Martin
Baraka Atkins
Preston Parker
Chris Carr
Jim Leonhard

Nah I've only had 1 beer today so far. But Lil tour has been walking around the house throwing his hands up every time I say "touchdown". It's a beautiful sight. He's so cool.

Totally forgot about Robinson. Will be very interested to see how he gets utilized now that he's basically the nickel guy. And sometimes not even that when Jenkins or Vaccaro slide down

Pat Yasinskas sends a Be Happy Whodats card after watching the dirty birds last night...

The first-team offense couldn’t finish drives and the first-team defense had more than its share of breakdowns in a 27-16 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Atlanta fell to 0-3 for the preseason. The record doesn’t mean much, but the way the Falcons lost is a cause for concern. At least in the first two preseason games, there were plenty of bright spots. In this one, there weren’t many.

The Falcons trailed 20-6 by the time the starters were all out of the game and things didn’t get much better when the reserves came in. This wasn’t the kind of showing you would expect from a good team in its third preseason game.

Practice isn’t going to be a lot of fun for the Falcons when they return to practice next week because they have a lot of things to clean up.

The concerns about the starting offensive line aren’t going to go away. Quarterback Matt Ryan was sacked five times.
