The Saints’ strength of schedule projects to be one of the NFL’s easiest in 2020. Next season’s opponents finished the regular season with a combined record of 125-130-1, for a winning percentage of .490. That ranks 24 out of 32 around the league, or ninth-easiest.

Interestingly, only four rival NFC teams place ahead of the Saints, and it’s because they all play each other in the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys (.459), Washington Redskins (.465), and New York Giants (.482) will each be debuting new coaching staffs, while the Philadelphia Eagles (.486) face a slightly tougher degree of difficulty after their first-place finish. That bodes well for the Saints, who are positioned to get right back into championship contention — should they have a successful offseason, anyway.

Just five of the Saints’ future opponents made the playoffs after the 2019 season, and they’ll play most of those games at home with matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and San Francisco 49ers. They’ll have to hit the road to Philadelphia for their lone game away from home against a playoff team. All told, it’s not a bad slate for a team that’s won the NFC South in each of the last three years. Are the Falcons, Panthers, and Buccaneers even trying?

Great. They lost their last two home games.

Everyone thought the Niners game was going to be cake in 2019 before the season started. It’s pretty much impossible for what we assume now to hold up.

no offense but this is useless. who is good from year to year in the nfl is unpredictable. The nfc #1 and #2 would NOT have been predicted last year at this time. Neither would the patriots as a #3. The titans were not on anyones potential playoff radar etc

Who TF cares, the NFL is a shite product hell bent on making money (like any good business should).

I love the saints but their seemingly unending pitfalls mixed with the garbage that’s nfl officiating and rules committee has moved me to a casual observer. I just watch to see cool plays and avoid watching with by B&G glasses on anymore, the aints are always gonna ain’t and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Who the hell cares who’s on our schedule next year? They’re gonna frick the saints up, we have a bad team with a bad aging QB. One good WR and one good utility player (virtually useless in the nfl)

Yeah, i watched in passing on Sunday knowing what was coming. It’s all good, what I just said is truth.

One thing I will say is saints fans have a special attachment to their team (one of my fav parts of our fan base) and it will take a lot more to get them outta the dome, I guess I just don’t have that in me. I hope all of the Who dats keep faith and I hope it’s rewarded, I just can’t invest anything anymore.

It’s not really the regular season this franchise has a problem with. It’s the postseason. I get the playoffs are a different animal but do we really have to play to the level of our competition EVERY time? We could be favored by two touchdowns and this team will find a way to make the game come down to the last possession and in most cases, the last play.

It's not like our schedule is that much easier than the rest of our division. The biggest difference is they finished with 5 or 7 wins, and the Saints had 13.

2019 wins for opponents next season (outside of division):
Saints - 125 (87)
Atl - 135 (85)
TB - 128 (78)
Car - 127 (73)

So if you take the games outside of the division, that has the Saints with the more difficult schedule next year. So, the biggest difference in schedule amongst the division, is we don't have to play the Saints.

My bad. SF/Minnehaha was what I was thinking, so, last two games vs Playoff Teams, lost at home.

Don't expect a cakewalk again in the division next year.

Atlanta is certainly due for a bounce back year after the way they finished out the season.

Irrelevant. Saints won 13 games and still lost their opening playoff game at home. Only argument you can make in favor of homefield advantage is one less game the Saints stand to choke away and fluke it into the next round.

That has to do with money. If we are favored by 2 TDs and Joe public pounds the Saints, guess what? We probably aren't covering. Like the Minnesota game. Favored by 8 and everyone takes Saints to win, teases them down to 1.5,ties them into every parlay and teaser they could.

Vegas set the bait and everyone took it. Minnesota wins outright and Vegas makes out like a bandit especially after the Titans knocked out the Pats.

These games are played with money. The NFL says they aren't affiliated with gambling but without it, their product is dead. It's nothing but circus act.
