I'm not sure if you've noticed, but we've been playing catch up.

We were not playing catch up when we opened the damn season with 3 passes for a three and out were we? Look for yourself, besides the bad play from the defense its the damn playcalling putting us in those dire straights of having to throw it. Those scores IMO would not have gotten out of hand if they would call and play solid fundamental football. Yes Brees is a prolific passer but if you would notice we got to the damn superbowl and won it running the damn football!

we had some false start penalties in that game that didn't put us in favorable running situations either.

when the saints won the super bowl, how did they rank that year in rushing yardage?
go ahead and check that out

Numbers read 7th in rushing attempts with 468, while at the same time they passed the ball 544 times....... People what we got here is a coaching staff in shambles thats in way over their heads. IMO if they would just get back to running the ball more everything would right itself as best it could given our circumstance as a football team with all thats going on. I'm just saying there is an easy fix to stop some not all mind you of the bleeding.

Um, That was one series. We have been playing catch up for the majority of the season.

The Saints did come out with a balance attack against Carolina, but then fell behind.

Check the game log for play by play for Carolina vs Saints.

The saints spend all this money time and effort to keep these backs but they continue to force Bree's and company to throw the dang ball.

Who is this Drew Bree you speak of?

Please illuminate for us.

Damn. I just damn wish we would win a damn game this damn year. It's hard to watch the damn Saints go 0-an damn-2.

We don't have a damn coach because of the damn Roger Goodell. If we run the damn ball more the damn other team won't have the damn ball so much.

Damn Brees had a rough start but I think he can damn well still throw the damn ball to the damn depleted WR core.

DAMN!!!

they did run the ball much better against carolina but stupid shite happened like drew throwing that dump pick 6 and screwed up any mo they had in the game...
the saints will without a doubt in my mind need to be more balanced to win this year... it is what it is fellas

I agree 100% and they are trying but we keep getting behind by double digits and they give up on it. Maybe just say frick it and keep running it. it will take longer to score but at least we dont have to see Bushrod almost get Brees killed or or damn pathethis defense make some scrub QB or RB look like the next hall of famer

It seems to me there are excuses that people throw out for things that seem to be natural, but actually make no sense. It's like people don't watch games.

For everyone saying they aren't running the ball because of playing from behind, tell me what the score was when the Saints got the ball first against the Skins? Score was 0-0, and they went 3 and out with 3 passes. What was the score on the Saint's third possession of that game? It was 10-0, still first quarter I think, and they went 3 and out with 3 passes. The playing from behind excuse is bullsh!t.

They were only down by 6 at halftime against Washington.

I think everytime we get the ball, we should get it in the endzone as many times as possible. Then stop the other team from doing what we just did, when it's their turn to have the ball.

I agree we need to run more early but we were still running PT down two scores late in tbe 4th, his runs and screens were the main reason we even had a chance to tie last week.

Just need to balance it out a bit more, bc when tbe defense us on the field u can almost guarantee we are getting at least 3 pts put up on us IMO

"Playing from behind" is a BS excuse until youre getting late in the 3rd/early in the 4th AND down by multiple scores.. which was the case, but no one wwouldbe upset with throwing more in this situation.

You should NEVER abandon the running game in the first half, regardless of score, unless its just flat not working (which certainly isnt the case).

Esp when you have the last ranked D in the league. Their asses need to be on the bench as long as possible.

Penalites have been a factor though.

you nailed it. dude has put us in 2nd and 7 and 2nd and 8 almost every time he runs the ball on 1st down.

I find it hard to understand how some posters can say he is playing pretty good.
