after watching last night, Pitt needs to pony up if they want to save their season. Can't rely on TEs every game.

“That’s part of the business, man,” Olave said (via Terrell). “It’s been like that all year, in the offseason. Even right now, I ain’t really been on social media, but I know it’s cooking right now that we’re 1-5. So, there’s always rumors, the internet trying to always create some buzz. But I had a conversation with the people in the building so I’m very confident.”

Hell, he's not even as good as Lance Moore from back in the day.
Not even close. Olave is probably faster but Lance was a better route runner and had way better hands.

Well one saves us 15 million in cap and one gives us cheap labor for 3 years

You still have to replace olave's production. It sounds like they aren't even thinking about trading olave as of now. Things can obviously change.

It's not the 5th yr option that's a problem. They already picked it up. It's the new contract he will want. Give me a 2nd if u want olave. Otherwise I'll hold him.

A 3rd is fair, even if it is probably later in the round

It would be fair if you didn’t control the rights to Olave after his season. Whoever trades for him can renegotiate a long term deal, or let him walk after next season (5th yr option) and recoup draft capital.

A 2 is what they should be seeking, and it may require us giving up a late round pick to get it.
