That is good point. I don't want to say Evans is a player that is sitting on his money but he didn't play nearly the level he use to play to before getting his contract last year. He was still good but noticeably declined. And Friday he did get put on his arse on at least one play. I expect Nicks to play since this is a contract year for him anyway.

This was probably done so that he could have the opportunity to land somewhere else as a potential starter. Staff decided he won't start here, so give him the chance while preseason is still early
