quote:

The Vikings plan to dress Sam Bradford on Sunday, via Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. It is unknown whether they also will make Teddy Bridgewater active, and the Vikings backup quarterback isn’t giving anything away, if he knows.

“I don’t know. So I’ll just leave it at that,” Bridgewater said Friday, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. “I’m just not talking about it. Some things you don’t talk about. You don’t want to give away any tendencies to our opponents.”

Bridgewater has served as Case Keenum’s backup since Week 10 when the Vikings activated him from the physically unable to perform list and placed Bradford on injured reserve. But Bradford’s return to practice signaled a return to the 53-player roster for the postseason.

Bradford has not suited up since Week 5 against the Bears, but he opened the season by passing for 346 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over the Saints.

Bridgewater played in only one game this season — nine snaps — after missing the 2016 season. So the Vikings may feel more comfortable with Bradford if the need arises to play the backup since he had success earlier this season against the Saints and is more experienced.

But Bridgewater said he is healthy and ready to play if called upon.

“I’m feeling great. Yeah, I’m definitely 100 percent,” Bridgewater said.

And often that pressure causes you to either play timid or make a mistake (or both).

I see this as something that can only blow up in Minnesota's face.

I approve.

I think this is seriously a dumb move from the Vikings, but anything to help the Saints lol.

Love this. If Case struggles at all it wouldn't surprise me to see Zimmer make the move due to the success that Bradford had against Harris in the first matchup (playing that bs zone defense).

May make Case play better. It can go either way.

This going to make Case already more tight/nervous in his first playoff game.

Love it

I was just curious about their future at QB - Interesting that all three QBs are FAs in 2018 (if I'm reading correctly).

sam Bradford isn't going to save the day.

If bird leg Bradford comes in and beats us after being inactive since week 5, we don't deserve to win the game.

does anyone in their right mind think payton would have done this in the same situation? hell no, he would know keenum needs the vote of confidence going into his first playoff start

Exactly. It’s one thing to activate Taysom Hill when everyone in the Saints building knows he is going to play Special Teams. This is trying to play games with your opponent and the only thing that it accomplishes is messing with your starters confidence.

I think its getting to the point in the week where everyone is over thinking all of this. This is a story about the back up QB for a playoff game. Case Keenum is their QB and they would be foolish to pull him from a game when he has played so well down the stretch. That being said I hope he is a dumpster fire on Sunday.

I mean I really don't get the move

At least Bridgewater has played recently

I get wanting Bradford around for confidence and in the locker room but he can do that from the inactive list

It tells you how much confidence Zimmer has in Keenum or playoff Keenum

But Zimmer is the one who just fricked with his hillbilly head
