Now I;m very confused. The last tweet seemed like someone was refuting the fact that Bushrod had asked for the that type of money.
This tweet looks like he hasn't even been given anything to sign by the Saints, as in no negotiations

That's exactly what is going on right now. What is confusing. This report is BS. Bushrod did not ask for that type of money. Also the Saints do not have an offer on the table right now for him. Which is why he doesn't have anything to sign.

A trade for a major piece would be the more likely scenario for the Saints to acquire an established veteran considering the cap situation.

Because the report has been disputed by the player himself. So it is obviously wrong. And not just because he said it was, because he would have to be a retard to think he deserves more than the best guard in football.

The mentality of the FO in regards to the line has been an inside-out mentality. They pay their guards the big bucks and throw "the best deal possible" out there at tackle. The top-tiered OTs are faster on their feet, and are highly sought after. Bushrod will find a job making close to Evans on the market somewhere else, considering LTs are traditionally paid the big bucks on the line. Down market for tackles means higher pay checks. The FO just has to measure the cost vs. risk to Brees. We could draft an OT this year, but there's always a risk with a green OT if Brown or Strief goes down (again).

This is still not a reason to change the title. The report has been updated. Unless the report is retracted, it doesn't need to be changed.
