Since 2023 is going to have to be a tank year anyway, might as well stick with Winston until 2024.

Maybe we shouldn’t have given Philly our first next year…. We can always overpay Lamar next year too…

It’s quite funny the lack of football knowledge on here. We have no shot at Lamar, I repeat no shot at Lamar. Forget it. Baltimore will franchise him twice, or will ask for a ransom in a trade.

Only possibility if he has some kind of joe Theisman injury. But even then they still franchise him I think.

Or the lack of reading comprehension, my point was the only other option for a great QB would be to overpay Lamar, like we tried to do for Wilson and Watson….

Overpay how? With money? We are one of the worst teams cap wise. Overpay in draft picks? We don’t have a first next year.

So how is my reading comprehension when what you are suggesting is damn near impossible. Not to mention Baltimore has to make him available which they certainly will not.

I was the first in this entire board to suggest going after Watson. It was only possible at the time to get him b/c of his sex issues. It brought down the draft compensation required and scared some qb needy teams off.

Lamar doesn’t have that issue. And will likely be the highest qb paid in history if he keeps up what he is doing this year and stays healthy.

Passing on him is the difference between being able to moderately continue with this staff/roster and having to completely blow everything up.

Have no doubt he will be the highest paid. He's playing out of his mind right now. He bet on himself and won so far.
