Definitely I see the connection. Not sure he could pull the setup quite like Bush can though. You have to be a God to pull off a shitty punt return to setup a return for a TD.

putting a label on bush is fricking silly.

what would kevin faulk had done if he had an offense built around his receiving and shiftiness?

on the opposite end of that logic, they don't even account for him as a normal RB anymore

no, thats not all they're saying.

and who cares what the label is?

reggie isn't good because he doesn't play like a fullback.

well the saints and NFL, for one

that's why reggie couldn't be listed at WR or QB and wear #5

he lines up as a RB pretty much every play. he performs the job of a RB. i don't see why he's not labeled a RB

agreed. fortunatley, that's not his role.

one big return game is skewing your view of Bush. Also, bush being a stud in a PPR fantasy does not mean he is a stud in real life. He still is only getting about 3.5 yards per rush and about 7 yards per catch for his career. Even with the million short passes he gets, he has still never finished in the top 5 in yards from scrimmage. that's not impressive.

no it's not and i never once mentioned fantasy sports.

I just looked. Bush reminds me of a Dave Meggett. Meggett actually averaged more yards per touch than Bush on rushes, receptions, kick returns, and until last night punt returns.

megget was never the centerpiece of the giants offense. defenses never schemed to take megget out the game. big difference.

when deuce was healthy he was the centerpiece of the offense (if we're not counting QBs)

thats rules and semantics. we're discussing reality and production. you can't compare reggie to other typical running backs because his game is totally different.

irrelevant. he's still used completely different.

deuce was an all pro caliber RB in his prime. reggie was a rookie. how many touches did each get that year?

he's not

he runs a good deal (almost 13 times a game)

his routes are RB routes...swing passes, screens, 5 yard curls, etc. that's why his ypc is so low for a receiver

deuce had 244 carries (in 15 games). reggie had about a hundred less (in 16 games)

it's not a coincidence that we haven't come close to that success since we had an ACTUAL running back

explain how reggie is used differently than any other RB?

we just throw it to him more b/c he sucks as a runner

tell me what special routes he does

tell me what special blocking he does

tell me why he runs the ball so much if he's not a running back

tell me why he doesn't line up at WR more

So RMCC, based on his yards per touch, fumbles, and his pre-NFL career hype and draft position do you feel that Bush has met or exceeded expectations?

being over payed and being a "bust" are 2 separate thing.

most NFL players dont live up to the money they are paid. Does that mean they are bad players? no.

being a bust and being a disappointment are also 2 different things. Why do people assume you mean bust, if you are just saying he has been a disappointment?

i dont know, i certainly dont htink he is a bust.

but my opinion changes week to week...he disappoints me sometimes, but i think you can say that about any player.

However, at his high points(ie Last night), it is hard to match by anyone
