Records in 2010

Just going through some of the Saints team records and theres not a lot of records that are likely to be broken in 2010.
Likely to happen:
Brees needs 3,537 to become the Saints all time passing yardage leader. (Archie Manning- 21,734)
Brees (38-25-0) needs 12 wins to become the franchise's winningest QB (Bobby Hebert 49-26)
Movers and Shakers:
Marques Colston:
(4,074)
with another 1,000 yard season, will move into 3rd place on the Saints all time receiving yardage list. Needs 802 yards (Danny Abramowicz- 4,875) Colston is currently 3,780 yards shy of Joe Horn's Saints record.
Colston currently sits at 4th with 33 receiving TD's. With 5 more touchdowns he'll pass Abramowicz (37) for 3rd all-time. If he repeats his 9 TD performance of 2009, he'll move to within 8 TD of tying Horn for the all time record (50)
You may not have known:
Reggie Bush is in the top 10 rushing touchdown leaders for the Saints with 17 which puts him at 9th. If he puts up 7 rushing scores in 2010, he would move alone into 5th place.
Rounding out the top 10? Pierre Thomas with 16. He could also move into the top 5 along with Bush.
With repeat performances of 2009, Bush(11) and Thomas (14) could both move into the top 10 Saints rushers.
Bush ranks 8th on the Saints all time receptions list with 260 but could move to within the top 5 if he repeats his 47 reception performance of 2009

This does not surprise me, as it seemed like in the 2009 season Pierre Thomas would pound the ball to within 5-or-so yards of the goal line and subsequent handoffs would be given to Bush, who would score tons of times off this (seemed to me, at least).

This does surprise me, for the reason listed above.

49 minus 38 = 11 so he would need 12

+1. I didn't expect to see him in our top 10 since he hasn't been around all that long. But I suppose 16 isn't a whole hell of a lot.

oops. I originally wrote 12 and then went back and changed it for some reason.

We broke .500 in alltime head to head record against 3 teams last year- Buffalo, NYJ, & Detoit. This year a win over Seattle will break .500.
A win at AZ, PIT, & CINC will get the record to .500 With the decades of futility it's amazing that with those 3 we could be .500+ against 13 teams.
13-17 alltime against Carolina so a sweep there would be nice.
A sweep of TB would get the alltime W% over .600
A win vs. the Ravens would get one game within .500

Nice post
But this was a surprise.

made me curious-
a typical Drew Brees 350-400 completions will move him from 22nd to 11-12th NFL all time completions
3437yds passing will make him the all time Saints leader, 277 completions for all time Saints leadership (yet almost 1000 behind in attempts!)
Sharper- alltime INTs:
3 for 5th place, 6 for 4th place, 9 for 3rd place
INTs for TDs: 1 to tie, 2 for the most all time

This one is almost automatic. If healthy, I can see him at around 60 catches this season.
