Nate Orchard was cut too, from a far less talented roster

The best part of that image was ignored. Davenport

Would be nice to trade PJ Williams. He’s a nice talent and career would be better suited elsewhere. We have P Rob, Maulet, and Hardee.

We covered Lattimore’s Twitter pouting when he was cut because Elliott is from his HS team.
Edit: probably one reason why Lattimore isn’t a defensive Captain.

Not to say he didn't look good at times, but he ran almost exclusively against 3rd and 4th stringers, and he's definitely backup LB capable. So it's not surprising to see he dominated against mostly scrubs.
Same thing that happened with Muhammad last year in preseason, yet he did jack everytime we put him in last year (1 assist in 24 snaps with no other stats).
What is more encouraging is Davenport, who ran against mostly starters and second string. Really wish he had gotten more time in. Could be much further along by now.

Maulet and Hardee are outside corners. If we lose PJ we have no one backing up PRob.

I think Loewen might be a bit more versatile schematically but Elliott is very NFL capable

One is a LB better suited for a 3-4, and the other is a DE/DT hybrid.
While he was doing well against the scrubs, much like Kikaha he doesn't really fit our scheme.

They could cut Morstead or Ginn and bring him back.

Trade deadline Oct.30 there ya go.

If they cut Ginn, Lattimore would pout about that too probably. Those HS roots run deep.

Why isn’t this guy even on our practice squad?

Not eligible. I originally thought he was but played too many games while in GB to be eligible.

Maybe the Saints sign him after week 1 to not guarantee his salary

He honestly wasn't that good as a traditional LB. He's more of a 3-4 OLB, and doesn't fit our scheme.
Also, he was playing against scrubs, most of whom barely or never saw regular season snaps. He's played over 30 games.
He also only has 4 career sacks.
If we were to bring back a guy like him, it should be Kikaha. He had 4 sacks last year alone with only about 200ish snaps.
