great answer

Dealing with tough cap issues is a natural result of success (or dumbass decisions- as w/Dallas). I've been preaching about SF, Carolina, & Seattle this off season. They are all very similar to the Saints ala 2008-2009. That is, they have yet to hit the cycle of having to pay the players that have brought them success. We got by with all world Brees getting less than Sanchez and Sam Bradford. Jahri Evans had better years being paid sub-$1mil and now gets $11mil.
Continued success past '09 reflects Loomis' skill in navigating that path. Let's give those other three NFC teams another year or two and see if their success rolls on

Again, non of this was meant to be snarky. Was genuinely interested in the cause of the situation.

I feel like your questions have been answered, but you keep asking.

49ers might only be a year away with the big contract Kaep is asking for.

I asked the question once, saw people thought I was being a dick, and then explained why I thought it. Do you see where I asked the question more than once?

1) skate the haters. You are a great poster.

2)

Third is that Jordan has a team 5th year option and should definitely not be touched this year. At the least next year acts as a exclusive rights franchise tags for half the price.

Agreed. And after that Jordan/Hicks are number one priority in this team long term IMO. They are great players who create a really solid foundation for our D.

On the back loading question, no that is not the reason. It was the restructuring of guys to push cap space back, which then lead to making those guys, who were expensive, harder to cut.

Backloading in and of itself is very beneficial.
