Good clip from Peter King interview. Bolsters my opinion that the Saints draft a receiver in the first round and stay with Winston at least for now. Watch the clip through for his take on CSP.

Jameis had Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and put up one of the most embarrassing seasons ever. It's not the lack of receivers. It's Jameis.

Then had piss poor WRs and three 14 tds to 3 int and has a winning record. People change and grow. The Winston we see now is not the same one we saw in Tampa. Is he the savior? No prob not. But to compare to Ramos time is apples and oranges also.

I keep seeing that trope repeated as if it's indicative of success, but then you realize Jameis threw for 9 TD against 2 of the league's worst pass defenses, and was wildly inconsistent the rest of the games. Accuracy issues, hospital balls to his receivers, and just being a general cornball and joke.

And he threw 88 TDS v 58 INts in the 4 years before Arians. So the question is, is it Winston or Winston w Arians. His time w the Saints appears he just May have been a bad fit Arians offense. Probably not the guy you want running the team for the next 10+ years, but not a bad option until you find that guy.

I’d rather have an above average QB w a stout running game and defense while building through the draft, then becoming one of those teams that is in a constant QB hell trying to force the latest combine hype

2015 - 5th in INT
2016 - 2nd in INT
2017 - 17th in INT (missed 3 games)
2018 - 6th in INT (DESPITE MISSING 5 GAMES )
2019 - 1st in INT

It's not Arians. It's Jameis.

Love the excuses that get made for this guy. He's a poor decision maker, inconsistent, and a turnover machine. You're banking on "GrOwTh" from a guy who's entering his 8th season. C'mon. He very clearly is he who he is.

Payton had Winston doing what he wasn't doing at Tampa Bay. That is limiting his turnovers and operating the Offense. He wasn't great but when he went down he had a Q.B. rating of 103 and 14 tds with only 3 int. This with an assortment of key missing and injured players and the worst crew of receivers in the league with numerous dropped balls. You are leaving out a cold hard reality. This is a very limited draft for QBs, a limited number of good free agent QBs and we have limited assets to pony up without breaking the Bank. Next year's draft looks much better for QBs. If you don't like this reality what is your solution?

One of those defenses your talking about finished as the 6th ranked pass defenses for the season. And that’s with the horrible game against the Saints. So your point is invalid from the get go.

Both of them were bottom 6 in terms of TD allowed. This is objective.

Thank you. I know my point is valid. Appreciate that.

How much will he regress since SP is no longer head coach.
SP knew what plays to call for him, and certainly coached him out of certain bad throws.
I hope JW gets better, but it depends on who can coach him on the Saints staff.

We were a very competitive team this year before his injury. I’d like to have him back

You’re so misinformed it’s hilarious lmao. “Most embarrassing season ever”…not even top 10 all time in picks, also had 5000 yards and 30 TDs which no one else on the top pick seasons even comes close to. Peyton Manning and Favre have seasons right next to Jameis on the all time list for most picks.

We all know why you hate Jameis. Just say it.

It’s Arians. Every QB he’s ever had has had a career high in INTs under his tutelage, save Brady, and that’s because after game 11, Brady took command of the offense. Before then, he was on his way to a career high in INTs.
