If it is the type of thing where he can't be cleared to play at all from a liability stand point then we should stay away. I just don't see it being like that though. He played all last year, and to my knowledge nothing has changed with the neck situation. The doctors will know better than me though.

Better than all of us. I always say if a player could pass the test to get into the military or better yet, some military orginizations then they can play football.

If he is there at 15 you don't even think twice unless his neck is broken.

Did he miss any games at Georgia from injury? I mean the dude was an animal last year against SEC competition. It's not like he was in and out. I get their worried about it, but lets say you only get 5 years out of him at that production. That's still a no question take at 15 to me.

Those weren't neck/back related, though. Florida Atlantic was groin/shoulder, and Kentucky was ankle. And you have to think the quality of competition could have had a big impact on the decision.

5 years of high level production before his neck becomes an issue?

just enough to get a total 6 championships for brees for his retirement party. he's gonna want to resign for an extra year

Nope. I'm really not sure why the neck is such a concern all of a sudden if he hasn't had issues for years and nothing has come up since the end of the football season.

I really don't get all the worrying about his neck. He has looked perfectly fine the last 2 years.

In my opinion, I chalk this up to just being the kind of stuff that happens after the season ends. People have nothing to do, so they start picking apart every little thing about these guys. This is why guys move up and down draft boards even while nothing is happening.

Look an Mingo. The guy was potentially a top 5, definitely a top 10 pick, and now he is falling literally when nothing has happened.

Yeah, seems like if his neck was this big of an issue, Georgia was putting themselves in position for a major lawsuit by letting him play lol. I'm guessing they have doctors who tested him and cleared him to play.

No this is something that's been discussed about him since he left USC.

Well he just had 2 monster years at Georgia that were good enough to make people think he was the best overall player in the draft. How bad could his neck be? I stand by what I said. This stuff happens every year after the season ends. All these scouts and mock draft websites have nothing better to do, so they start picking these guys apart and saying guys are rising and falling to keep people interested in their work.

Georgia fan/Falcons hater here...if i were power ranking pro prospects my list would be

1) Ogletree
2) Williams
3) Jones
4) Jenkins

Williams is going to be an absolute steal in the draft whoever grabs him. Plays the game with more emotion and grit than anyone that's come through UGA for the past 10 years. What are the positions of need for the Saints this year?
