I’m starting to believe Payton wants to play the victim, and that’s half of his problem. We’ve been hurt by the refs, but it just feels like his emotions and play calling are in anticipation of being screwed over instead of worrying about the game in the moment. Hill should’ve been handed the reigns, he was the piece that couldn’t be stopped. Pointing out the refs seems burnt out. A debilitated team, and we couldn’t take advantage.

It is his fault

But the players didn’t particularly play well either. You can tell how much they wanted and needed a bye. They weren’t in this game the way the Vikings were. Weren’t mentally prepared until the fourth quarter

I agree, but anyone watching that game knows that Hill gave us a clear advantage. And that’s not to say that Drew shouldn’t start and play against GB if they advance, I just think that particular match up put the saints in the positive.

Payton has called Hill the next Steve Young.

So explain to me then why the next “Steve Young” isn’t playing?

The game ends differently if they didn’t get too aggressive with 4:00 left and attempt a rushed pass play. We were moving the ball on

Refusing to run the ball in the playoffs killed us again.

I think we’re the only playoff team this week that had fewer than 20 rushing attempts.

Teams in the playoffs simply rush Drew damn near every play cause they know we’re probably not gonna run.

Minnesota has 40 rushing plays against our 17.

Sean definitely wants to win his way

Hill should’ve
at least been in there on the game tying drive at the end of regulation. Who knows maybe we get a td.The drive before he couldn't be stopped.

100% his fault. You play to win the game in regulation. He played for overtime. You put the ball in the hands of your 1st ballot hall of fame QB to win the game. You don’t play for OT with a defense that has consistently over the years been unclutch as frick. Terrible decision on his part.
