Saints HC Sean Payton just walked all the way across practice field to give personal hello to AJ McCarron's girlfriend.

CSP knows talent when he see's it.

He talked to the playa on the right!

Changed title. Seemed to be inferred in the article to me. Sorry.

There are other players at Alabamas pro day than AJ.. Payton might be interested in him in the 4th round or something but he also could have been looking at CJ Mosley or to talk to CyKo or something.

sooo... he could have been at Alabama's pro day to watch someone else but just took the liberty of going over and introducing himself to AJ

He's probably taking in Moseley and Dix moreso than AJ

Wouldn't there be a defensive coach there for that? I know he is head coach but how much input does he have on defense?

Probably a lot since he is the head coach, as you already stated.

He was the guy who decided to switch from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 defense and hire Rob Ryan.

I'm not disagreeing with you by saying he isn't there to see AJ but to make a huge assumption like that when there are quite a few other players working out at that pro day that the saints could be interested in is kind of crayzay.

That's what mine would be.

SP was probably in Tuscaloosa knocking down Miss Terri, since she's married to such a small man.

So now it's AJ's pro day?
Or was it BAMA's pro day?

You just don't get it, do you?

I believe that to think that he was there to see CJ or HaHa more than AJ is crazier than the belief that Payton might think that AJ is worth taking a serious look at.

First, it's Bama's pro day not AJ's.

Second, CJ and Dix may possibly slide to us in the first round.

Third, we are in the market for o-line help and you have a once highly regarded lineman falling fast.

Fourth, AJ is destined to be another Browns/Raider bad decision.

Disagree. Although he's an offensive coach, when it's as big of a decision as a first round pick, the head coach is going to do his own research too.

Rob Ryan was there earlier to check out Clinton-Dix and CJ.

There's nothing crazy about SP watching AJ at a pro day. He could end up being a solid mid round pick. I think he could be a very solid backup to Brees.

How bout this: Payton goes to Bama pro day and goes out of the way to personally talk to AJ. No reports of him doing this with any other player there.

Better?
