Per Underhill yesterday:

quote:

Paulson Adebo was back working with the starters and delivered a standout performance. The cornerback broke up a pass to Marquez Callaway, then forced another incompletion to the wide receiver. It’s early, but Adebo looks more confident and is doing everything he needs to do to maintain his position as the No. 2 cornerback alongside Marshon Lattimore.

From Thursday:

quote:

As for Adebo, he didn’t appear to be impacted by the change. He played well and looked good jamming players near the line of scrimmage, which is an area he was working to improve last year. Adebo also deflected a pass on a physical play up the sideline against Jarvis Landry.

Love to see it. CB room is freakin STRONG.

I hope he has a breakout season and becomes a pro bowler. If not, Roby is a proven solid vet like Janoris Jenkins was for the Saints that can get the job done.

I think Adebo is the slam dunk starter. But having a CB3 the level of Roby is crazy.

So far Payton Turner and Paulson Adebo have been the stars of camp, which is very good to hear.

Roby is going to play a ton regardless of injury. People always want up act like it’s either/or. We need all these guys including Taylor

Taylor has apparently been very good as well.

The secondary appears to be stacked.

shite, I'm the type that having enough quality depth is a great thing and you can never have enough because it's football and injuries go hand-n-hand with the game. Janoris Jenkins is still out there and could be had on the cheap. Loomis and Allen could have and should have signed Kwon Alexander, the Jets only got him for a mil. Smh I know Alexander gets hurt a lot, but his special brand of athleticism is hard to find, he makes plays when on the field.
