Would desperately try to win a game that hurts their short and long term success.
Y’all need some Dome Fome to drown your sorrows.

No, only a total moron who has never played football makes such an argument. Players don't care about draft position.

I've always wondered why many fans think the current players care about their team picking up some rookie for the next season.

They're currently picking 10th. A win locks them in at #10. Need a few things to happen to move up.

I kinda feel like we shouldn't come out for the second half until Arthur Blank begs us and admits the Saints are the overall better franchise and always has been.

That’s fine that they’re trying. It’s also perfectly fine to not be happy about a meaningless win that hurts your chance of getting a more valuable pick.

Right, because it’s the players on this team, who y’all consistently (and correctly) argue are NFL fringe, who plan the direction of a franchise.
I guess when there’s no coach and a bean counter GM, the players do run the team.

The thing is it really doesn't hurt. They're almost certainly 10th win or lose

The Saints can't do any worse than where they are picking now (10) (win or lose)...The best they can do is pick at 8? That's with a lose and a Bears and Raiders win...

I don’t care if it’s the difference between 10 and 9. Lose this game for best options

Exactly. A win doesn’t hurt us. We could move up some but it’s not guaranteed. It’s kinda unlikely really.

I kinda like screwing over a division rival
