Yeah but then we would be settling for the 4th best linebacker in the draft.

1 prefer Murray or Queen at our spot and do not want to pay heavy price to get him.

If he makes it past 5, I'm fine with trading anything to get up there and take him from the panthers.

It is unlikely but possible. Linebacker isn’t a premium position. The giants will likely take him but if they don’t it will get very interesting. The giants also need offensive line help and need to protect their franchise qb. Miami and Chargers are both likely drafting qbs. Carolina could definitely take Simmons but also need defensive line help and are reportedly very interested in Brown. Brown is considered a top 3 players by some analysts. Cards need to take a tackle to protect kyler Murray. Jags could go Simmons but it has been reported that they really like Kinlaw and need interior with Calais leaving. Browns only right answer is offensive tackle. That is number 10. Jets also need tackle at 11. There is also the possibility of a team trading up to grab one of the top 4 QBs if the hype is real. I’ll admit it is unlikely but not impossible.

Gettleman is probably infatuated with Simmons, as he should be. But man you just invested in a franchise QB and he showed promise. They need to protect him. Can’t go wrong with Simmons though.

Top talent, no doubt- he is about as close to a 'sure thing' as you could ask for! I would not be surprised if he was taken 2nd overall behind Joe B. I may be alone on this idea, but I still think Chase Young has 'bust' potential.
