While I agree with this, it doesn’t make sense for Mickey to get rid of Shuck’s only good WR

It doesn't and it's why I doubt anything happens.

Doubt they'd get higher than a 2nd even if he does have a healthy 1000 yd year.

I like how you say he's proven to be a "legit nfl WR" and "he won't be that expensive".
What do you think he will ask for on his first FA contract?

1000 yard receiver as a rookie
1000 yard receiver as a 2nd year

You think that’s common? Like most WRs come in the league and do that in a garbage offense. Dumpster fire organization lol.

We exercise his 5th year we have him through 2026? He’s a cheap WR for next 2 years. He’ll probably want $30M a year in his next contract if he does well.

Home many concussions since his rookie season?

I would be ecstatic if we could get a 3rd.

He played 31 games his first two seasons

Took off half of 2025 cause we were hot garbage. I'm not sure there's another player on the roster that could instantly start on all 32 teams and be a significant contributor. But you want to get a 3rd round pick for him

The best you could hope for in a 3rd round pick is to get someone of Olave's caliber. Its more likely you draft a complete bum

I don’t remember Cooks having the concussion issues. Olave was shut down for half the year last year due to them.

Olave as a cheap short term piece makes sense. But it makes zero sense to pay him anything significant.

I wouldn't pay him either but Cooks had issues

"Brandin Cooks has suffered five documented concussions during his NFL career, including one that caused him to miss Super Bowl LII. He has also had multiple concussions in a single season, leading to his temporary exit from the Rams' roster. Despite this history, Cooks has expressed no concerns about his concussion history and feels "great". "

If the Saints want him for 15 mil and Olave doesn't buck then fine with me.

Unless he has a couple Tua gang sign concussions next season you're at least 10 mil short.

He’s had over 1,000 yards 2 of his 3 seasons. With Dalton, Jameis, and Carr throwing him the ball. If you believe in Shuck at all, why would you give up your only legitimate WR right now?

Do you think we’re winning the division this year? If not, and you don’t see Olave worth resigning then you absolutely trade him for a 2nd. Otherwise there’s no point to keeping him just to lose him for nothing.

You could sign a good WR for a three year 45 mil 15 mil guaranteed vs 15 mil one year to Olave.

We picked up his 5th year. We have Olave for the next two seasons. This discussion needs to be pushed to next year.

if moved we better get a really nice haul. None of that Pickens crap

Mickey gives up hauls like he did to get Olave, not get hauls.

You probably thought we were getting 3-1sts for Payton too like many here.

We’ll get a 4th, maybe a 3rd if we give back a 4 or 5. That’s it.

Olave isn’t worth what Pickens got with concussion history and flops after every catch. No RAC can’t break tackles.

I’m pretty sure you can say that any team may have an interest in another player

Maybe maybe not, but we picked up his 5th year. There's no rush in dumping him right now. What are yall so scared of?
