The NFL has literally eclipsed Gene Simmons in their ridiculous marketing gimmicks.
The idea the people get so worked up and excited about the release of the schedule actually frightens me a little. What kind of mind control to they have over you all.

If we are talking me personally, I do get worked up over the schedule release, yes, but I do not get worked up over the Draft, for example. I watch it, but I don't put any energy into it until it starts.

I'm hoping for Baltimore game to be on Nov 4.
Virginia vs. Pitt on Friday night then Virginia Tech vs. Boston College on Saturday.
I'm also hoping the Dallas game is either Oct 7 or Nov 22 (Thanksgiving).

Pretty stupid comment in my opinion.
Many fans do annual trips and do need to know the schedule asap as waiting longer cost them more money. I myself need to know to set rates for short term rental properties. People out of town typically dont say “Hey we play the Saints Sunday lets go”. They plan that shite several months in advance simpleton.

Sure but don't be ridiculous, you know I'm talking about the ones the can't wait to see the schedule so they can pour over it and predict wins and losses and chances for the playoffs. Which are about 90% of the people feverishly waiting for the schedule.

And the people feverishly waiting of the schedule probably make up 1% of the people that follow the NFL. Most on this board didn't even care about the schedules until ElCampo started flooding the boards with mocks a few years ago.
