I do watch a lot of SC ball and Cushing is definitely fast. He's all over the field and manages to get involved in just about every play.

Yea, I like him, but I definitely want to see his combine numbers before I get as excited as I am about Aaron Curry. I just think Curry is gonna be what Lavar Arrington was supposed to be.

Cushing is fast. I just don't think he plays with smart or with good instincts(He fails to keep contain at times and overruns plays).

USC has an athletic as frick D however their technique and instinct isn't all that.

Mays lacks ball and coverage skills.(Even USC fans on here have admitted such)
Cushing overruns plays.
Maualuga is the most complete of their big 3.

FWIW I really like Curry and Moore.

This might be really stupid, but given how much faster the NFL is, wouldn't Cushing be less likely to overrun plays?

10. Trevard Lindley CB/Kentucky- He is a reach as high as we will pick but this kid is fast as lightning and he is a ball hawk, oh yeah, at 6-0 he is just a bit taller than the 5-0 Jason David.

I think we should either go after Jenkis or Mays. We could really use either one of them

Its pretty clear to me that the run game is where we need the biggest boost. We're in the bottom 5 teams in all rushing categories.

Whether its a power runner, or O-Line upgrades, i think its clear we need to start there.

calling running play would also help imo

What about Beanie Wells?
Do you think he is a first round pick? I know he is a moose and I have seen him run away from DB's.

Beanie would be a good pick, but I don't see him declaring for the draft.

Beanie is going to be a top 5-7 pick depending on need

Cushing is by far our most complete linebacker. Rey was hurt for a game and Cush stepped in and played MLB and was great. Played DE as a Soph as well. He will be a very high draft pick and is probably the best overall LB in this class. I have always been a Rey M guy, but I can now admit that Cush is our best linebacker period. He does not overrun plays.

Rey will go in top 10, Laurinitis is overrated, and if Curry blows away the combine he will probably be gone before we pick. With that said, I think we will draft Moore or Cushing as of now. I would be happy with either but there is a lot of time between now and the draft. The Saints will sign a big name in free agency.

i think a 3-4 team will trade up to get Cush. He is very versatile and could play inside or outside in either a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. There is more value there for a 3-4 team to take him.

Did he play in any games as DE?
