Official Mark Ingram Hype Thread

The most average running back in NFL history to average 4.4 yards per carry for his career. Many Saints (LSU) fans despise Ingram because of what he did to LSU. Since Mark Ingram is not a HOF RB, he is a waste of a roster spot. It seems that many expect him to match LF7's production on the previous Saturday. Frequently heard Ingram complaints:
"He can't break tackles"
In 2015, Mark Ingram finished 3rd in the NFL in avg yards after contact. Ahead of Arizona's David Johnson. Couldnt find 2016's rankings, but I do know that in the second half of the season, Ingram was ranked #1 in average yards after contact
"He fumbles"
Mark Ingram averages less than 1 fumble per season
"He's slow and gets caught from behind, never seen him make more than a 10 yard run"
Over the last 2 seasons, Mark Ingram is 3rd in the NFL in runs over 40 yards (8th in 2016, 4th in 2015). In 2016, he was 3rd in the NFL in YPC (5.1). In 2015, he averaged 4.63 YPC.
For reference, Mark Ingram has more 40+ yard carries in each of the past two seasons than Le'veon Bell. Last year, Ingram had more yards per carry than Bell, more 40 yard runs, and the same number of 20 yard runs.
75 yards
vs colts
rams
70 yards
gutting the cowboys
Over Mark Ingrams last 371 carries, he has AVERAGED 4.87 YARDS PER CARRY. I'd be willing to bet that's easily top 5 in the NFL, probably top 3. After going through all these stats, I think I might actually think there's something to the "Sean Payton hates Mark Ingram sentiment" that is a lot more common than you would think (ESPN and NFLN and many fans from other teams). All of this and I haven't even touched on his receiving abilities....
Mark Ingram is a very good NFL running back, not HOF bound by any stretch, but a very good player. I actually think he could have had a much better career playing for a different system.

Its about fricking time you made an actual good post.
Mark will go down as an all time Saint when he hangs it up. He still has a lot left in the tank to give as well.

You don't know how to interpret stats with what you are seeing on gameday. It's his inconsistency that is so detrimental to the team. A total no show when he is needed in crunch time.

Don't forget how most regard Deuce as some type of God. Great football player, no doubt. Our greatest RB to date, no doubt. But 2-3 more years of average Ingram and he smashes Deuce's records.
