Watching that replay again, it wasn't as close as it looked.

We still have some problems with that read option it seems.

Not really sure how to defend it better. We have so many defensive backs out there and our 2 LBS are in the center to defend the run between the tackles. We would need incredibly fast LBS to be able to get to the edge to defend that properly, if we are just relying on our LBS to make those tackles. Doesn't help their RB and QB are both very fast.

Yep. Turnover prone QB, who is only making quick passes. If they have to start going deep and relying on long developing routes we will be able to get pressure on him, where a fumble might occur.

I feel like it's the one weakness that if we can just get a little better at that it's all we need. Miami is without Cameron Wake, too.

Maybe we could blindfold Ingram and have him start the play facing backwards.. That way he falls backwards, which is actually forwards, and gets us 3 yards per play.

Serviceable?

Man, our running game is fricking non-existent.

It's bad when even Robinson can't get going.

yeah, you can see it now. Live everyone was like WTF? Also, if that defender doesn't go for the ball but rather the tackle on Sproles, did he make the 1st down?

We desperately need some form of a running game soon. I don't know if we can't beat teams like Seattle if we can't establish it with their Stout D.

True. This team could win 11 games this year with the issues we have. Problem is, we will not get through some of the more complete teams without some improvements. Need the Oline to step up in a big way.

One thing I'm worried about is since Miami has only thrown slants pretty much, if our secondary goes to undercut them and Miami decides to go deep we would be caught big time.

I really didn't, but it's weird that he posted that thread around the same time.
