Offensive identity and the draft

First of all, I think the saints get broncos 1st for Sean, so late round 1st. I'm thinking the saints should potentially use that pick for bijan Robinson. You get the power back to compliment AK. Our LT rookie is a road grader, and our 2 main weapons outside are downfield threats... I think a run heavy, PA deep offense would fit our personnel well, and it would also compliment our biggest strength, defense.

Thoughts?

Never use a 1st round pick on a RB. That’s my thoughts.

If we get that pick, trade it for a 24 first…

I expect that pick to be #31, so I guess. If the pick were lower, I'd agree

Do you think San Fran is gonna win the Super Bowl? There are only 31 picks in round one due to the Dolphins losing theirs for tampering. I'm thinking closer to the 26-28 range.

Semantics. The pick will be #31 if SF makes the SB and loses. #21 is forfeited.

If you would have told me three years ago that we’d have the last pick in the 2023 draft, I would’ve been thrilled. I definitely would’ve never thought it would be a trade involving CSP.

If we drafting #31, I doubt someone trades a future 1st for it. I guess it's possible, but it would have to be a good team or someone falls in love with hooker.

The Saints are not trading the rights to CSP for a single late 1st rd pick in 2023.

There's precedent for trading a SB winning coach and that trade doesn't even come close to fair compensation.

Any trade involving SP will include a first this year in addition to other picks.

I'm typically against a first round RB, but the end of the round is basically no different than an early second round grade.

There’s just too many good RB you can plug and play. Never waste a 1 on a RB. If you want better rushing use the 1 to draft a new LG to replace Peat or a DT to help stop the run. Or a WR because as much as I love Olave he looks like a top shelf WR2 but not a true 1 like they are banking on.
