IMO he has lost the respect of his teammates and fan base no matter what their stance on the issue. He will no longer be regarded as a leader in the locker room and has effectively placed a target on his back on the field.

Very possible but, the NFL could spin this as a unite the people thing and have the Saints win the SB. It's all politics anyway. We'll have to see how this plays out. It's all a stage show anyway so if we lose, we saw it coming. If we win the SB, it wasn’t because the team overcame racism it was Goodell awarding the Saints for political gain.

How do you recover from learning what some of your teammates really think of you? This is where walking on eggshells and being afraid to offend people gets you, you can't have an honest dialog about anything involving ethnic relations now. The people that push for this to happen, you have to look at who stands to benefit from it and those are the same people who have been using race as a wedge to pit us against each other for decades.
