You have NO stats to back that up

i have no stats that you want to accept to back that up. being that taysom has never started in the NFL, its quite silly to hide behind needing stats to back it up. Steve Young was garbage before he came on strong and started for Niners. His prior stats were horrific.

Its also pretty easy to extrapilate possibilities of what Taysom can do with his legs in an offense designed around his strengths over the course of a season. He'd be an elite mobile qb in this league by far.

Taysom is better than Teddy in everyway.

Let’s just cut the bull shite and roll with Morestead as our QB.

nah, you're biased.

you even said that teddy was getting better with reps, yet never have you thought about how much better Taysom will quickly get with starting reps and more opportunity. Teddy has started games and seasons prior. He's essentially is what he is, a very good qb. Taysom has chance to be something special.

you are just happy to make an argument that taysom is what stats say he is at a sample size of 7 passes.

Brees has earned the right to play for as long as he wants. For everything he has done for city and this franchise, as long as he wants.

You want 2 QBs making in the $30mil per year range?

Bold strategy!

Get back to me when Taysom throws 10 passes in a season Chad

I think people need to realize that the long term franchise qb is not on the roster. Once brees departs they need to either sign a huge name in free agency when that time comes or hit on one early in the draft. I’m not banking on a 30 year old running qb who has 13 career attempts.

It'll be the draft, the huge name virtually never hits free agency.

Yep

You don't need to tank for a top 1 or 3 pick. In all honesty, you just need to get lucky.

I really think it's like 99% luck and 1% skill when you think of all the elite QBs and where they were drafted.

Mahomes
Brees
Rodgers
Brady
Wilson

Etc..

The 50 yard pass against Minnesota seemed a tick late to me.

Teddy is a money pit...will never be a big league qb.

The highest paid backup and game manager in the league who is actually more expendable than the Swiss Army knife Taysom. Who threw passes and was game changing in the playoffs?

So your argument is "couple plays in a single game" > 5-0?
