So when Brees went down who took over starting duties?

It make more sense to sign Teddy he has been in the Sean Peyton system for a few years now plus he's a veteran

The highest paid backup and game manager in the league who is actually more expendable than the Swiss Army knife Taysom. Who threw passes and was game changing in the playoffs?

I'll give you Taysom has a bigger arm than Teddy. But that's it. You're basing your argument on one game, for a QB who doesn't even have 10 career completions. Teddy was gaining confidence each start and looked better each game. You can't sit here and tell me Taysom is better than Teddy with no facts or stats to back it up. You're making that argument based on what you think Taysom could be when I'm telling you that as of right now, Teddy has proven he's better than Taysom.

Taysom is better in every way.

Outperformed teddy in preseason too.

Taysom’s extra dynamic of running far separates himself from teddy.

I mean if that's what your basing your argument, I'm literally talking to a brick wall right now.

Probably because Taysom's not very good at throwing the ball. Why else do they run the ball 9/10 times he lines up at QB?

You said it’s based on one game but it’s not.

Cute
Taysom outperformed teddy in preseason.
Taysom is the one called into action in playoffs to be the difference maker.
Taysom is the one that is difference maker w legs which teddy is not.

Taysom was called in the postseason because he's a gimmick QB. Nobody expected him to throw the ball on that 1 play. The difference he made was running and catching the ball.

Teddy has never had a season with a QB rating over 100 or completion percentage over 68%. Drew Brees at age 40 just completed his 5th season IN A ROW of accomplishing both. Also finished the year 1st in completion % AGAIN and finished with the 2nd best QB rating in the entire league. Drew also had a higher yards per attempt and yards per completion than Teddy this year. I like Teddy but he has never shown anything indicating he can lead a team to a Superbowl without being supported by an elite defense. Any reason to believe Teddy is the QB of the future aside from you being a bumbling idiot speaking in feelings over facts?

Taysom’s passing evolved during season. It’s not a gimmick. I hope Saints fans embrace him. He’s everything we need in a Brees successor for 5 years.

Of course he’ll deny it but at this point I’m convinced Chad is just trolling. He’s not this dumb.

The complexity of what he was asked to do when subbing in was evident. Trust grew fast.
