Nice payday by Armstead to play 50% of the games in Miami.

Last night, I was scrolling through channels and saw that there was a replay of the 2018 Saints vs Steelers game on.

I turned it on and, within 3 plays, Armstead gets hurt.

The commentary: Armstead, who just returned from missing 5 games with a pectoral injury, is down on the field. Let’s watch the replay to see where it occurred. (shows Armstead pass blocking and immediately goes to grab his right pec) Yes, it looks like he re-injured it.

He’s a great player when healthy, but not worth the salary Miami is paying him, or the constant OL shuffling when he misses his usual 3-8 games per year.

Crazy thing is it looked like he turned a corner in '19 & '20. I think he had a total of 3 missed games between the 2 seasons. Then 2021 happened to the entire franchise.

It will be interesting to see how he fares in Miami. I remember the Saints had a terrible track record with their strength & conditioning program between misdiagnosing players, returning them back too soon, etc. Was his fate a result of an atrocious medical team, or does he just have terrible luck

Why do all of our fans want to passive aggressively shite on Armstead for getting paid more than what we were willing to do?

Dude got hurt all the time, but he sure as hell played through it when he could. He was an awesome Saint and was happy to have him even through the injuries.

In typical saints fashion, armstead will become a pillar for the dolphins missing zero games due to injury and becoming an all-pro and 10 yr starter.

He will play until he’s 41?

He’s been injury prone during his first 9 years in the league. I don’t see him, all of sudden, becoming a LT version of Cal Ripken in his 30s.

But if he does, the front office needs to completely revamp the entire medical team
