I do believe they like Roman. It's free safety play I'm referring to.

Depends on what RR thinks and the money that he can get to spend.
We will see.

I think I'd prefer they grab one corner (Lewis), sign a Rhodes and move Jenkins back to corner. That would be ideal IMO

Got this excerpt(<-- cool word) from Day 2 Winners and Losers in free Agency on Fox Sports:
From the losers section:
Provided we can find some 3-4 guys, this could be a good thing.
From the losers section:
quote:
3. Veteran pass rushers — The list of veteran defensive ends and linebackers who haven’t been signed to deals yet is pretty much endless. Prior to the start of the free-agent signing period, it was all but assumed that big names such as Osi Umenyiora, John Abraham, Dwight Freeney, Connor Barwin, Michael Bennett, Richard Seymour, Israel Idonije and Lawrence Jackson would be scooped up and signed to deals once the free-agent signing window was opened. Think again.
CIRCLE THE DATE
Now that the NFL's 2013 calendar year has begun, here's what fans have to look forward to.
Teams are waiting it out, diligently, and are by no means rushing to the altar to sign veteran pass rushers. Cliff Avril, the top free agent on my Top 50 list, was signed to a less than earth-shattering 2-year, $15 million deal on Wednesday. This has to strike fear in the players on this list (and their agents), as none of these players will likely fetch the same amount of money from a suitor.
The marketplace is interesting this year, and in the case of veteran pass rushers — the supply apparently far outweighs the demand
Provided we can find some 3-4 guys, this could be a good thing.

I don't believe in fairy tales and neither do opposing QBs

wwltvsports: RT @Eric_Branch: From 2011-12, QBs had a 107.3 rating when targeting Nnamdi Asomugha, per @PFF (73 of 113, 1,074 yards, 9 TD, 4 INT). #49ers

Id like to see what it was when he was in Oakland with Ryan.

Matt Cassel released. could be a solid backup on the cheap.

Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet
Sounds like #Rams & OT Jake Long are hammering out a deal. Could have a resolution soon, barring any snags. They are OK with him medically
This is like Long's Third deal in 3 days.

AdamSchefter: Cincinnati free-agent LB Dan Skuta, a good special teams player, is visiting San Francisco.
Jesus, is everyone visiting Frisco today?

@AdamSchefter: Chiefs are in pursuit of Dolphins free-agent CB Sean Smith, and clearly Kansas City is a viable option for him.

Buddy inside says Saints are hashing out remaining details with a player right now...wouldn't tell me who...seeing as though there is only one person visiting...I think we may have a new CB.
