That's true.
Can we still get in a bidding war for him, if needed? Losing him would be unrecoverable, IMO. He's gotta be top priority as of now.
Then Bell.
What's going on with Peat?

I will celebrate getting a 1st for Taysom, are you kidding? Losing him absolutely sucks, but a first rounder is a really good trade off.

We can match the offer that another team makes. All they have to do is offer more than they know we can afford though.
Peat will be too expensive to re-sign. I've already accepted him as gone.

Just saw this...the Lions run a 4-3 as well. I guess he could be on our radar.
Lions released LB Devon Kennard.
Kennard is a 29-year-old team captain coming off back-to-back seven sack seasons and a career-high 45 solo tackles. It's a puzzling move given his on-field production, but the Lions do save $5.4 million against the cap and did just land Jamie Collins yesterday. Kennard will have a market as a starter and should get picked up shortly.

I'd like to see us spend the money on someone to play inside, but yeah he's a nice player. Durable as well.

We aren’t winning a Super Bowl if Peat is on the roster this season.

I’m hoping we bring Leglue back to compete for the G spot.... I could see us moving Easton to G full time, Clapp backing him up, Tom as backup C....
LT Armstead
LG Easton
C McCoy
RG Warford
RT Ramczyk
Clapp, Tom, Leglue, Greenridge, Kelly battling for backup jobs

I'd really be more comfortable if we brought someone in to compete with Easton. There's really just no one available.
I don't think Clapp is a viable player in the league.

He hasn't proven that he's a viable starter yet. He looked ok as the 6th OL, but that's all he's proven so far.
I think it's going to be Easton & a rookie OG competing for the starting LG job.
We need more picks for this draft. Either trade back & acquire picks, or do our usual trade next years picks for more picks this year.

Honestly wish we’d trade back for once. Lol

Seems like we just watched free agency go by. We have so many holes.

We're trying to get the best value contracts. They're being patient.
Get the best value & fill in the rest through the draft.

Don't really understand this at all...
Titans agreed to terms with OLB Vic Beasley, formerly of the Falcons, on a one-year, $9.5 million contract.
The Titans had one of the league's better defenses last season despite lacking an elite pass rush. Beasley has never lived up to his 15.5-sack form from 2016, but he has registered at least five quarterback takedowns each of the past three years. A 73 percent snap player last season, Beasley would probably be more effective in a more limited role.

What are your thoughts? Should we sign CB and WR. Then take Murray or queen in the first then guard in 3rd? Or draft maybe Jones or Cleveland in the 1st and the Oregon or Appalachian State LB in the 3rd?
re: NFL FA/Trade Rumors ThreadPosted by GMoney2600 on 3/17/20 at 3:33 pm to tconle2
Based on what's available in free agency & the draft...I'd like to sign Vonn Bell (SS) & a LB. Definitely draft a WR (the draft is loaded at WR) & also draft OG.
We're going to have to go after the best value in free agency though. We can create more cap space, but it won't be a whole lot. We have to make sure we hit on our free agents & get good value.
We have to create more draft picks as well imo. Either trading back, or trading our 2021 picks for this years draft.
It's way too early to pinpoint positions though. Don't panic if things go slowly. The FO has to get the most for their money, b/c we don't have a ton of resources. Let other teams panic & overspend.

Has Kennard been picked up? Would be great.

What do you think about OG Greg Van Roten? Seems like could be a starting OG for maybe cheap.
