Welcome to week 8 of the NFL season and Game Thread #7 of 2018!!

Cue up Carrie Underwood & the trumpets from John Williams... we're waiting all day for Sunday night

The Saints are on Sunday Night Football for the first time this season in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game rematch from a season ago and all we've been hearing is...

meawhile... we're sitting here like...

so we come tonight to get a bit of retribution and try to keep pace with the Rams for the top of the NFC and stay ahead of the rest of the NFC South

On the injury front, the Saints injury report is actually fairly thin with only Mitchell Loewen officially listed as OUT for tonight's game, meanwhile that's not the case for the Vikings who will be missing a number of key players - inc. RB Dalvin Cook & S Andrew Sendejo - while CB Xavier Rhodes is expected to return to the field after missing the last few games (Rhodes will NOT return tonight - he's on the inactive list).

Hopefully the Saints D will be bolstered by the debut of the recently added DB Eli Apple, who the Saints got in a trade with the Giants

LET'S BEAT THESE NORSE BASTARDS AND MOVE TO 6-1!!! WHO DAT!!!

Uniforms: The Saints will be in the amazingly awesome color rush uniforms for the 2nd time this season

Tonight's Officials: Big news came out earlier this week in that the NFL actually FIRED an official in-season for the first time in the Super Bowl era, truly strange times to be a NFL official

Just look at that shitty alignment. 3 players literally hugging each sideline with the receivers getting completely free releases. And we ran that back to back.

You literally left ONE fricking guy in the middle, and not nearly deep enough to get over for something like that.

Should have rushed fricking 2 in that spot if we were going to do that stupid shite. Should have chucked the receivers at the line to eat clock.

Should have done ANYTHING but what we did

you do realize that any tackle on the field of play and the game ends and the Saints win, right... that's why they're protecting the sideline

literally the only 2 ways that doesn't end in a Saints win is A) exactly what happened & B) let them get out of bounds and try a last second FG

anything else results in a Saints win

the only opponent on our schedule that isn't on Carolina's is Minnesota (they have Detroit from the NFC North)
