That blackout was a blessing, the game was shite before it happened.

While I agree with this, to me, the blackout isn't a big deal. Yeah, it didn't look good on TV, it won't sound good, but its nothing more than a papercut on a superb week in NOLA.

By whom? You? That's fine with me.

The NFL will remember the superb week. We get the SB in 2018.

All I am saying is that when you're watching the NFL Films recap in 20 years ... it will probably show footage of the lights going out ... and then the game turning from a 28-6 blowout into a damn good game.

There will be no mention of "and what a great time was had by all in NOLA that week."

The blackout was a memorable moment and part of history in one of the biggest sports spectacles in the World....seen by millions if not hundreds of millions.

Don't be so friggin' defensive.

Unfortunately you are exactly right and for that I feel bad for NO. They were batting a thousand before the blackout. Beautfiul weather, great party city, entertainment everywhere. One bad thing and it was the 30 min blackout.

Thank you.

I'm not saying it's fair ... but, it is what it is.

When the Saints went to Miami, do you remember them talking about the festivities? No. Noone talks about the shite going on around the game. The people who matter will know. The decision makers. They know what NOLA offers. I don't give two shits about what message board people or even media say. NOLA is the best host in the country for an event of this size and that stupid power hiccup doesn't change that.

Of course people will remember it. It happened during the game, and yes it will be shown in every highlight. So what. It changes nothing. New Orleans knows how to host and they do it right.

Damn right it did.

People react the same way to that as they do to a car wreck.

Gotta see what happens next.

Heard an interview from a former SB player who had played in the SB in NO before and he talked about how great it was because you could bring the family and everything they need to keep them busy is walking distance from the hotel. So not only is it an enjoyable trip for everyone involved, it's also very low maintenance. Unless there was reason to believe another blackout will occur this will not stop NO from getting future SuperBowls.

The black out was embarrassing but to think that it will hurt us from getting another Super Bowl is ridiculous. We will get another one, and soon.
