So what about last year or the year before or his time with the raiders.

Loomis better be careful, if he is firing excellent coaches people may start wondering why and look at the ridiculous contracts the GM is giving away

I don’t get the hatred toward Dennis Allen. Yes, it was time to fire him. In no way am I saying he should have stayed. But, players liked him and he was a non- controversial coach. Not great, not eloquent, but not an embarrassment to the franchise. Fire him with dignity.

Allen was a good defensive coordinator (except for the last 2 minutes of each half) who was undercut by a flawed and aging roster. The defense has been bad because they have age and injuries.

He's a terrible head coach. His game management skills are atrocious.

There’s nothing wrong with what Loomis said. It was understandably measured. You guys are freakin dramatic

Don't hate him but, you are 2-6, with 6 straight losses, your run game is rolling, you have taysom and kamara, 4th and 1 at the 40 something yard line and you fricking punt? DA doesn't have the vision or balls to call plays in situations, he pusses out

Saints GM Mickey Loomis on the firing of Dennis Allen: “DA is an excellent football coach. This season, we have had an avalanche of injuries. It took its toll. DA has never offered excuses, he fought each day for this organization and this team and that is what makes today disappointing. Dennis has been an integral part of this organization’s success for the better part of twenty years. He will be missed.”

This reads as "he shouldn't be fired, but he's fired". This gives me hope that mickey is next. I doubt it tho. He may be on a shorter leash.

I wouldn’t say he’s an awful head coach but he attached his job to Carr and Carr is arse. He is a back up QB in the NFL, not a starting caliber QB.

Read between the lines,MLs statement isn`t of a GM firing a coach.It is a
friends opinion of what happened.Gayle or Lauscha went over his head.
Thank the LORD someone finally saw what everyone besides ML was
seeing. The next step is the big one.

That’s because he should have be fired at the same time, and he knows it.
