Yeah, a coach that accomplished that with a dog shite organization, paired with first pick destination of the 70% “subhuman” free agent player class, and a middle finger to Goodell, to boot.
This combination would have this board friskier if they weren’t so racist.

Micheal Thomas having an opinion is ok with you but the moment someone shares a differing opinion they’re crying.
You’re an idiot. No doubt a big Micheal Thomas fan.

More manufactured MT drama from this board.
The fact that there’s a 4 page thread on this is pretty sad. You’re really that rustled he’s supporting an African American coach in a fight for equitable hiring practices?
Lmao

He wasn’t bitching about “equity” while he was cashing those checks on his way to becoming a failed head coach.

Hard to prove racism just because the NYG decided they had their man prior to interviewing Flores, which is all the texts from BB really elude to.
"I didn't get the job, therefore they're all racist in their hiring practices." doesn't exactly hold up in court.
The Rooney rule at its core is racist. They made race a qualification.
The Dolphins part isn't about racism right? Isn't it about the Owner telling him to tank and him saying no?

Are y’all really going to melt over any MT tweet that you remotely disagree with?

MT 13 sucks worse than you do.
Flores on the other hand went 19-14 in the NFL without a QB, over the course of two seasons.
SP has been praised all season for going 9-8 with no QB.
Shut up.

Cherry pick seasons if you want to make his record look better than it was, but he regressed and allegedly did not get along with staff or players. This is why he was fired and rightfully so.
One coach has displayed consistent success that includes a super bowl. The other is Brian Flores.
Now go sit in the corner.

This changes nothing.
We live in a world where the majority of black people are race centric. This is a result of a lot of factors. But to expect different from black players is misguided.
The current political push from the left isn’t for equality. It’s for favoritism. We just had the President openly admit he was limiting his Supreme Court nominations to a black woman.
That’s waaaaaaaaaaay more prejudiced and racist than what Flores is alleging. But it goes in a different direction so it is just accepted.
Expecting Michael Thomas to see that hypocrisy is foolish. Only the smartest and most honest would point it out.

What specifcially is wrong with that tweet? Other than the preconceived notion that yall hate Thomas
Wrong?
I think the assumption here that Thomas is offering an opinion in support of what Flores is doing. He’s being criticized for that opinion. He’s not being criticized for being wrong.
Certainly you realize that.

Most of the people on this site hate any black person who speaks up for black causes, but they ain’t racist though.
Literally any topic on this site about race turns into most of the people on this site shitting on POC. They ain’t racist though.
People on this site hate black people so much that they turned against Payton and Brees over black social justice issues. They ain’t racist though.
Hating the misuse of racism as a tool for a political movement isn’t racism.
And you accidentally admitted that people are just as angry with white people who falsely claim racism.
You don’t even know what racism is anymore. I truly believe that.

Partially. (FWIW, I didn't say the Miami issue was about racism because it wasn't)
From the lawsuit:
My assumption is this was Watson but others say it's Brady. Regardless, Flores didn't want to break any rules and I applaud him for doing so.
From the lawsuit:
quote:
After the end of the 2019 season, Mr. Ross began to pressure Mr. Flores to recruit
a prominent quarterback in violation of League tampering rules. Mr. Flores repeatedly refused to
comply with these improper directives. Undeterred, in the winter of 2020, Mr. Ross invited Mr.
Flores onto a yacht for lunch. Shortly after he arrived, Mr. Ross told Mr. Flores that the
prominent quarterback was “conveniently” arriving at the marina. Obviously, Mr. Ross had
attempted to “set up” a purportedly impromptu meeting between Mr. Flores and the prominent
quarterback. Mr. Flores refused the meeting and left the yacht immediately. After the incident,
Mr. Flores was treated with disdain and held out as someone who was noncompliant and difficult
to work with.

While there is merit to the fact that 75% of NFL players are black, they'll never admit that the majority of those players are completely unsuited to be a head coach
Put another way, former players are a very small percentage of head coaches. Playing is not an indicator of coaching success.
Athleticism is the primary driver of success as a player. Athleticism has nothing to do with success as a coach.

This is objectively true but Flores is attacking it because it doesn’t guarantee the outcome he wants.

maybe I am a bit different than other people in how i see this argument.
-the nfl, with all of its problems, is the ultimate merit based employer. win, and you have a job. simply too much money to not be merit based.
-i will not spend 4 seconds worrying about MT or coach Flores or anyone else making this type of claim. they have reached millionaire status. 92% of adults in this country have not attained this level. by definition, 8% cannot be "held back". they have, in fact, succeeded.
This has basically been proven false. The owner offered him money to lose games
The owner then got mad and fired him for winning said games.

Maybe because he wouldn't have gotten the stage while he was just a position coach.
Maybe it took years of him experiencing things to get to this point.
Maybe he did want to make enough money to feel comfortable but does that mean these things never happened.
