Eh. McCaffery isn't that much better a receiver, though he does have an edge.
McCaffery is too light to be an effective runner over the long haul. He may bust one here and there, but being only 202 lbs. he is going to get knocked around more often than not.
Edit:
And to take the receiving point further, McCaffery had by far his best receiving game against us, and under Allen (since 2015) we have been giving up the most receiving yards to backs and that's bleed into this year also.
Outside of the game against us he hasn't been awesome in the receiving game.

I'm confused. Neither went to LSU.

I'm liking Kamara! Looks like the real deal! A combo of Bush and Sproles.

Kamara will be better! Hes faster and stronger and bigger.. And is improving every week the panthers just use mcCaffery more because of the lack if playmakers on offense.. But i still stand by my opinion!

The Panthers do not know how to use McCaffery effectively. If he was on this team he would be just as effective as Kamara. Schematically the Saints are on another level than Carolina. Mike Shula is a joke of an OC in NFL circles

CM on this team would be ridiculous. Payton would use him like Bush and he'd likely lead all RBs in receptions

Haters told me I was trippin when I said I’d take Kamara

Kamara on the chiefs > hunt on the chiefs

Mcaffery averaging under 3 ypc so far.
