Bush has been needing Deuce to complement him ever since 2007, and to see him come back like he did averaging 4-5 yards a pop against the 49ers is just what he must have wanted to see. It also takes the pressure off Drew Brees, because this should make the Saints balanced on offense. We literally did not have a running game at all the first three games of this season.

I totally agree! now that the offense is more balanced we can open up the opposing defense a little more and use a little more play action for the deep threats as we did againts SF. The defense did not look all that bad yesterday. we are improving every week and thats the encouraging thing.

Yeah, this teams going NOWHERE without Deuce. But next year, the Saints better use their first round pic to get a good power back. He can't play forever.

I don't think we need to use a first round draft pick to find a replacement for Deuce just yet. There is still some areas that we need to improve on imediately and RB's are usually not that hard to find in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Not playing him against Denver is the primary reason we lost that game. I think the world of Coach but the buck stops with him.

Our first rounder needs to be a safety, hands down

S, OT, or WLB if there's a good one there.

Is the plan to keep Nicks at guard? Or will he eventually be moved to OT?

we need an enforcer in the back 7...we got nothing back there....harper drops ints and KK is a temp. we need a true FS. a wlb would be nice but looking at the contracts we got shanle for another yr at least....bullocks is a FA so we'll take a FS. and stinch and strief are FA so we'll take an OT...

Someone will offer Stinky an undeserved contract in the $4.5m a year range, but Strief should be cheap to keep and I expect the Saints to do so even if they don't expect him to start.

And to the above poster, I think Nicks will stick around at guard.

yep we all know deuce can run and will emerge and make the offense even scarier with a rushing attack.
