Yeah and even checked out he is second on the team in tackles behind Davis and leads in solo tackles. Also leads in interceptions though the team is fairly anemic in that stat.
He isn't the player he was but he doesn't suck as bad as this board makes out.

Yeah, Mathieu is still a good player and has played good for the Saints. The problem is he's always judged against his honeybadger days, and that's a steep hill.

He has 2 easy picks.
You can be high in tackles and still not be a great player. He is a safety on a defense that has been bad most of the yr.
I'm not saying he is unplayable all I'm saying is he doesn't come forward like he used to.
