One 70 yard run,, one fifty yard run. Everything else was goal line and catches out of the backfield for 20-30 yards. Is that his HIGHLIGHT film. How many years has he been in the league?

Let me guess. You'd take Fournette over him in a heartbeat, huh?

Ingram had 1,124 yards and 12 rushing TDs last season.

Fournette had 1,040 yards and 9 TDs.

Oh yeah, Ingram had 38 less carries too.

And just in case you want to bring up the tired arse fumble argument, they both fumbled twice.

fricking idiot.

He had the 3rd most 20+ yard runs in the NFL. But I know you’re trolling and don’t really mean what you’re saying.

Know whats a better indicator of a successful RB in this system, considering we're one of the most pass happy offenses to ever? YPC

Ingram averages 4.53 YPC, higher than LF. Higher than fan favorite Deuce who averaged 4.3 YPC for his career. Not even in 2006 did he hit 4.5 YPC and has only done so twice in his career.

Ingram on the other hand, 4/7 years. More than Deuce.

YPG is absolutely worthless considering our RBs only run about 13-14 times a game.

YPG, YPC and overall yardage are all worthless stats. There are too many other variables to account for such as scheme, number of carries, how good your offensive line is, ETC.

You could always use the old eyeball test and my eyeballs have always told me that Mark Ingram is a good but not great running back. I would say he's about average. He isn't going to break a lot of tackles or make a lot of people miss. He isn't a running back that Defenders fear. Like a guy that just refuses to go down or a guy people are afraid to see in the open field. He doesn't have Kamaras ability or strike fear like he does.

I trust the PFF stats because their rankings are so comprehensive and account for a lot of different things. Their ranking of him Supports my eyeballs.

What's funny is you say he can't break tackles, yet the last 3 years he's among the league leaders in just that.

He's a top 10 rb in the league easily.

He doesn't strike fear or make teams game plan for, but he's one of the more complete backs in the league. He can run well. He can catch well. He can block well. That makes him above average, easily.

I want to say you may be right about him breaking tackles. I kind of remember a PFF ranking of either broken tackles, elusiveness or yards after contact that had him in the top 25%. If that's the case, then I relent my point on that specifically. Though I'm not sure if that was for that specific year or if that was over his entire career.

Still doesn't explain why PFF has them as an average ranking for running backs in the league which agrees with what I've seen from him since he was drafted.

He also plays in a pass heavy offense that also generally uses a run by committee. How’s he’s supposed to get the yards if he isn’t getting enough carries? Once again you’re a troll.
