No - he is an LSU Hater, and has been a luke warm Satins supporter for years. Didn't he move out of New Orleans?

Two different Archies.
Archie Who: the guy that played at Ole Miss.
Archie the Saint: the guy that played his heart out in spite of leading crappy teams. He's also the guy that came to my town every year to do a mini-camp for the kids. You can't hate on that guy.

Archie was saved by going through pergatory called the NO Saints. He has been purified, as was Duece MCallister.

Lsu-saint fans.
I find it hard to believe such people exist. I pull for the Saints but I'm not a "Saints fan", I'm a Tiger fan. I have not the time nor the fortitude to be a Saints fan, too. Nor do I see how anyone truly devoted to the Saints would ever have the time or emotional investment available to be a full time Tiger fan as well.
Which makes it easy to say - yes, I hate anyone who played football for Ole Miss

If you are a Saints fan, you would have to like Archie Manning.

Of course, every true Saints fan loves Archie.

Wouldn't you? Have you seen the crime rate?
I love the Saints, but not the city of New Orleans so much.

I don't care for Archie despite being a die-hard. He's a douchebag.

So you think they should have gone to Tulane?
They did grow up in Uptown New Orleans

The Mannings still live in New Orleans. They love it here. They're great people. I see them frequently.
You're full of shite and don't know what you're talking about.

i think now archie's starting to like his boys' teams over the saints, which is unfortunate
Wait a minute. You're saying it's unfortunate that a father wants his sons' teams to win? That his allegiance to the Saints should outweigh pulling for his boys to win? Weird. Archie pulls for the Saints all the way . . .except when they're playing one of his sons' teams. Why would you expect it to be any other way?

If I was a blue chip QB in high school there's no way I would have gone to LSU during the 90's. Hell, I wouldn't even go to LSU now.
I can't blame Peyton or Eli, especially Peyton.
I never had a problem pulling for a player who went to a rival of LSU - McAllister, Harper, etc.

Quit being so rational and realistic.

Most LSU fans hate him just because he and Peyton/Eli didnt go to LSU, which is pretty dumb, IMO.
i hate him b/c he is the Lord of Ole Miss, by far my most hated school/team in the world.
I never saw Archie play as a Saint, and i have heard many more stories/folklore about Archie's Ole Miss days than his Saints days, so in my mind he's a rebel.
We signed Josh Booty the same year that Peyton came out, and we won a BCS national title during Eli's tenure at Ole Miss. I don't see how anyone can even find a problem with his kids not coming to LSU. He has no ties to LSU anyway, he's a Mississippi redneck.

Any dad that pulls against his son's team is a douche. I don't care if you bleed purple and have tiger stripes tattooed on your penis, if your kid plays for Tulane you pull for Tulane.
