Extending was fine. Continuing to convert money to create more dead cap and voids is just stupid.

He under contract for 2024 and 2025, that’s it. He’ll have a dead cap number of $8.7 million in either 2026 or 2027 depending on when we release him.

And I don’t mind overpaying some aging players. Other players notice that. It’s not always good business and we shouldn’t do it regularly, but if a free agent in 2026 notices we were loyal to Davis and Jordan, it’s fine.

Most of yall forgot, but it never made sense to me and it absolutely blew up in Loomis’s face.
Giving Junior an extension when we still had a year of paying him for peanuts. And then gave him one before Cam when he was in his prime and the cornerstone of the team.
Junior had off the field issues and to hand over that contract is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen from a gm.
Then he died t even try to resign Hendrickson, who I said should have at least been tagged with the franchise tag on here.
He let the leagues top pass rushing end the last 5 years out the door for nothing.,
