Did anyone see JL get trucked at the goal line? Im sorry, but a middle linebacker should be able to at least stand up a running back in the middle of a hole. He came in scott free and got rolled up. Secondly, I want you guys to watch him blitz. Once he gets picked up by the lineman or running back, he stops moving his feet. Anybody that knows anything about football knows that you ALWAYS keep your feet moving. He's washed up. I wont diss his leadership. Apparently his leadership skills are second to none. unfortunately its quite the conundrum.

To think Anthony only played 19% of the snaps is a travesty.

Pretty sure he played every down last year. He has to be disappointed.

So he's a vet that is washed up, and that caused him to quit moving his feet?

Interesting

That goal line play wasn't his finest moment for sure. Didn't watch him close enough to comment on everything else.

I don't mind him playing, but Anthony needs to get on the field. He makes plays, including on the last drive

Has there been any reason given for why Anthony hardly played?

Look, there is a reason he was released by the rams, and I believe I know why. I have been watching him since week 2 of the Pre-Season. From what I have seen, he is not mean enough...no tenacity. As a middle linebacker, you have to be mean. When you list the great MLBs from the last 20 years they all have one thing in common...tenacity. JL don't have it. Maybe washed up isn't a good term, because I'm not sure he was ever that good.

its not completely unreasonable to hypothesize that Stupar/ Robertson/ Ellerbe is our best LB Trio. Anthony should be better than Stupar so we'll see i guess. I love Robertson though.

Because he isn't that good. That doesn't mean he can't bring value. I just think he should be in less snaps

How do you measure meanness?

But he is a smart linebacker supposedly with a great knowledge of the game, yet you ding him for something that everyone should know

What I have seen is what I had heard. A good leader, a good signal caller for the def(which Anthony seems not to be yet) and a good tackler who stinks in pass coverage.

I agree with this. He may bring value in a certain way. I just havnt seen it translate on the field. That's why I think his leadership is whats keeping him on the field more than anything.

How do you measure meanness?

Patrick Willis, Ray lewis, Luke Kuechley, James Harrison, Jon Vilma was pretty tenacious, Derrick Brooks. I just compare. I also know that we cant afford anyone with that type of talent, soooooo....

Mauti was on the field with Robertson and JL most of the game. No idea why.

I really like Mauti. I wish him the best, and hope he gets better. We can use his "TENACITY".

Mauti has quietly become a great roster guy too. We need Ellerbe to have the LB Roster flexibility
