Sources: The #Eagles have agreed to a four-year, $72 million extension with right tackle Lane Johnson that includes $54.595 guaranteed. It is the largest contract for an NFL offensive lineman in history on a per-year and guarantee basis. LINK

Ryan Ramczyk is going to get broke the frick off

Again enjoy this year. Saints this offseason and next are going to have to lose some very valued players as our draft picks transition to their 2nd contracts.

Doesn't Ram have 2 more years on his contract if we decide to do the 5th year option? If so, I'd think Armstead's contract would be about up in 2 years.

I am just saying contracts for elite players are getting ridiculous

And we have several nearing paydays

Kamara
Lattimore
Williams
Rankins

Then we have solids but not cheaps

Bell
Apple
Onyemata
Anzalone
Peat(probably a goner)

I don't think Rankins is going to cost as much as everyone thinks. Kamara who knows. Lattimore will cost quite a bit, not sure MW will demand a big price.

Peat is a goner I agree, Anzalone will be cheap. Onymata is good in our eyes but I don't see him demanding big pay. Apple will probably be gone, not so sure about Bell.

I don't mean a couple of those won't be demanding big pay as in they are willing to take a pay cut. I just don't think other teams are gonna pay Onymata and MW outside of what we could afford.

I honestly don't think Kamara is gonna demand much more than what Ingram did. Lattimore and Ram are gonna be expensive. Demario Davis in a year or 2 might demand a decent amount although he will be older and market might decide otherwise.

ETA: I can see over the next 2 seasons Armstead, Peat, Bell, and Apple all being gone, as far as are better players are concerned. Although the better part can be argued on a couple of them.

The current TV deal runs out after 2022 (possible lockout for 2021 if a new CBA isn't agreed on quickly). With a new TV deal means new more money to the pot. More money to the pot means a larger salary cap which is why we seeing larger contracts to elite players. Organizations are giving out these deals in anticipation of a greater salary cap.
