Weird that the 2nd coming of LT hasn't done anything yet....

Right, let's just pretend the Eagles don't have possibly the most depth at DE in the NFL. Barnett's snaps have been limited behind veterans Brandon Graham & Vinny Curry. It's not like those guys aren't playing extremely well.

It's weird that Brandon Graham is an early candidate for DPOY.

Barnett is playing 40% of defensive snaps(73 total). Is that not enough for you to make an impact? How many snaps do you think he played in preseason when you were gloating? Certainly not this many.

A guy like Kikaha has 2 sacks in 46 snaps for comparison.

Awesome snap count breakdown. When are these snaps occurring? Are they run plays or pass plays? Kikaha is seeing the field on obvious passing situations. Do you seriously think Jim Schwartz is taking Curry & Graham off the field in obvious passing situations? Why should he?

1. one of the Eagles go-to nickel formations has Graham inside with Cox and Barnett at DE with Chris Long. Graham has been playing a lot of snaps inside on 3rd down which means Barnett is likely in the game at end.

2. why wouldn't you consider this when you're bumping threads in the fricking preseason like you were right about this? Or saying he could have upwards of 11 sacks. I mean if you knew these guys were beast

That being said, 40% of def snaps is a not a lot, but its certainly enough to make an impact.

I guess you just happened to forget about Vinny Curry & Tim Jernigan. Jernigan has been the one inside with Cox on passing downs. Could it be Jim Schwartz is still trying to figure out when & where to use Barnett.

Nobody saw the Eagles pass rush being this great especially Graham & Jernign being as good as they have been. Good but not great. They have been unbelievable.

Graham last year was one of, if not the top graded pass rusher in the NFL by PFF

you keep making excuses. Bottom line is he is getting enough snaps to make an impact. Just shows how ridiculous you were to claim you were right over preseason games. P-R-E-S-E-A-S-O-N. You are better than that

Yes because that's what I clearly said, right Lester?

quote:

While obviously both are extremely early into their NFL careers to completely judge whether if one player was a better draft choice over the other, Derek Barnett is already flashing the pass rushing skills this preseason, that had me feeling like he was a can't miss prospect to begin with.

Yet you said yourself.

So the ridiculous gradings the Eagles pass rush had in P-R-E-S-E-A-S-O-N hasn't carried over into the regular season?

Too bad you aren't better than this. This is typical Lester.

well of course you frickin said this! just in case he wasnt what you thought and this exact thing happened. You get called out, and then you can point back and say, well i prefaced that "well obviously both are extremely early into their careers"

which would hold some water if you didnt predict him in the next post to have 11 sacks.

73 snaps: zero sacks. He had 26 snaps yesterday against the worst line in the OL. Nothing. Quit acting like that isnt enough to do work. You were ready to crown him after limited snaps in the preseason

I'm not sweating a clown arse poster like yourself bumping a thread after 3 games.

I'm glad to know the season is over after 3 weeks. So KC & ATL in the Super Bowl, right?

How many of those were running plays Lester? Hard to accumulate sacks on run plays.

You bumped this thread after 6 months and 1 preseason game.

Think about that
